The cheetah is an animal of the genus Cheetah, and the only species in the genus Cheetah. Cheetahs have black spots all over their bodies. The cheetah has a black stripe from the corner of the mouth to the corner of the eyes, and a black ring on the end third of the tail; the hair on the back of its neck is relatively long, like a very short mane. Cheetahs are slender, with long legs and small heads.

As the king of short-range sprints among mammals, the cheetah can reach a maximum speed of about 25 meters per second. Such explosive power is not only jaw-dropping, but also scares many animals. Because speed is the weapon of prey, in the face of absolute disparity, many animals can only be forced to become the belly of cheetahs.

Cheetahs have long legs, thin bodies, and very soft spines that bend easily, like a large spring. When it runs, its front and rear limbs are exerting force, and its body is also undulating in the middle of running; when making sharp turns, its big tail can play a role of balance and prevent it from falling. The special structure of the body makes the cheetah run extremely fast.

In addition to having long legs, cheetahs also have different claws than other cats. Its claws cannot be freely retracted, and after a cheetah becomes an adult, its claws can only be retracted by 1/3. In this case, although the paw often rubs against the ground and becomes blunt, it can be driven into the ground like a nail when the cheetah runs fast, preventing slipping. In addition to the claws, the pads on the paws of the cheetah also increase the friction between the limbs and the ground. With the cooperation of claws and pads, cheetahs can run fast and steady.

But it should be noted that since the cheetah runs so fast, for it, this is a test for the respiratory system and circulatory system of its entire body. When it runs at a speed of more than 115 kilometers, its respiratory system and circulatory system are overloaded. Because the cheetah can't expel the accumulated heat all at once, it is prone to collapse symptoms, so the cheetah generally starts to decelerate after sprinting a few hundred meters. Otherwise, the cheetah will have difficulty breathing due to overheating of the body. So this kind of running is very exhausting. Sometimes even if the cheetah catches the prey, because it ran too fast just now, it can't eat at this time. It must take a rest or pant before it can start eating.
