Milan striker Olivier Giroud expressed his disappointment with the recent draw against Napoli. The match took place on the 29th in the 10th round of the Serie A tournament.

Facing the reigning champions at a challenging venue, Giroud managed to score two goals, giving his team the lead. However, they conceded two goals in the second half, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

This outcome marked Milan's second consecutive match without a win, including one draw and one loss, causing them to slip to the third position in the Serie A standings. Following the game, Giroud reviewed the match and shared his frustration and disappointment with Milan TV, emphasizing that he believed it was a game they should have won.

Milan is set to play their next match on November 4th, hosting Udinese.

Olivier Giroud, who is 37 years old, has participated in nine league games for AC Milan this season, contributing six goals and three assists.

Giroud's contract with AC Milan is set to expire, and according to the latest reports, the club is eager to extend his contract until 2025.

This would mean Giroud would be 39 years old if he completes his contract with AC Milan.

In addition to AC Milan, Major League Soccer and Saudi Arabian clubs have also expressed interest in signing Giroud during the upcoming summer transfer window, potentially luring him away from his current position as a center forward for AC Milan.

Despite Giroud's impressive performance this season, considering his age, he may not be the ideal choice for Milan's center-forward role.

French media outlets have reported that AC Milan is exploring the possibility of opening the winter transfer window to make a €40 million offer to Lille in Ligue 1 for their highly-rated center, Jonathan David.

Lille is reportedly considering Paris' French striker Ekitiuk as a replacement for Jonathan David.

Should Jonathan David join Milan during the winter transfer window, Giroud's playing time is likely to decrease, and he will have to compete with young players like Okafor for a spot in the starting lineup.

If a contract extension with Milan cannot be agreed upon, Giroud may opt to sign with a Saudi team or a Major League Soccer team, bidding farewell to AC Milan.

At 37 years old, Giroud is approaching the age of retirement. If a Saudi or MLS team offers him a lucrative contract, he may choose to move to a lower-league destination after this season, setting the stage for his retirement.

Nevertheless, both AC Milan and Giroud's agent team are open to a contract extension. The ultimate decision will hinge on whether Milan's leadership is willing to present a substantial contract offer. At the moment, it appears that the affluent Saudi teams could pose the most significant obstacle to Giroud's contract extension with Milan, given their ability to entice the World Cup-winning winger with a higher salary to join the Saudi League.
