1. Kakadu National Park, Australia

This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Northern Territory of Australia. The park has a variety of landscapes, from wetlands to woodlands, and many different animal species.

Kakadu is home to crocodiles, with as many as 10,000 of them lurking in fresh and saltwater waters and growing up to six meters in length. So, heed the warning signs warning of crocodiles, and don't dip your body into the water, not even in the heat of summer.

You may also encounter flatback turtles, snakes, quolls, kookaburras, and lorikeets on your journey, which are classic Australian animals. So you have to keep your eyes open.

2. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

You can look forward to seeing these animals that you will never forget: elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, the thrill of lions, cheetahs, and other species of beautiful animals also roam the plains.

The best time to visit is June and July, when wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle migrate across vast plains and rivers, often with big cats hunting in their wake. There’s never a bad time to see wildlife in the Serengeti—the sights are spectacular year-round.

3. Yellowstone National Park, USA

The park spans Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Known for its jaw-dropping volcanic features, Yellowstone is full of dramatic geysers, canyons, and hot springs.

Don't worry, though—you won't be encountering a volcanic disaster, and instead, you can focus on admiring the geological wonders and amazing wildlife, including bears, elk, bison, and wolves.

If you want to see bears during your trip to the US, then come after winter, preferably in March and April, when they have awakened from hibernation.

Yellowstone is vast and animals can be found anywhere, but places like Fishing Bridge, Hayden Valley, Lamar Valley, and Mammoth Hot Springs are great places to see grizzly and black bears.

You're also sure to spot some bison and elk, and hotspots include Madison, North Entrance, and Old Faithful.

4. Kruger National Park, South Africa

Here, in the 19,485-square-kilometer park, you can see the Big Five—lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes—but that's just the beginning. Warthogs, monkeys, jackals, sables, hippos, giraffes, and a few other animals call this place their home.

The best time to watch wildlife is early morning and evening. Sunrises and sunsets are worth watching even without the wildlife.
