The lotus is a beautiful flower with many beautiful colors that can dress up a pond very beautifully.

The leaves of lotus are round or nearly round, or oval, while some varieties are lanceolate or arrow-shaped. In a few species of tropical water lily, small plants grow between the top of the large fissure and the point of insertion of the petiole.

Lotus likes sunlight and good ventilation, so tropical and hardy water lilies that bloom during the day close at night and open again in the morning. Ponds with shade on the shore can bloom, but grow weakly. The soil quality requirements are not strict, the pH value is 6~8, and it can grow normally. The optimum water depth is 25~30cm, and the deepest shall not exceed 80cm. Likes loamy soils rich in organic matter.

Lotus is an aquatic plant and cannot be separated from water at all times during the growth period. In the early stage of growth, the water layer should be controlled at about three centimeters. Too deep water is not conducive to increasing the soil temperature. If tap water is used, it is best to store it in another tank and dry it for a day or two before using it. Summer is the peak period for the growth of lotus flowers, so the pots must not be short of water. After winter, the pots should also be kept moist to prevent the lotus root from drying out due to lack of water.

The meaning of the lotus is good luck. The flower language of the lotus is innocence, virginity, purity, freedom and refinement, and also means nobility and holiness. Many parks have lotus flowers and they look very pretty.
